Pressure placement during IJ removal

The IJ catheters placed in our health system use manufactured picc catheters and are non-cuffed. The exit site is high on the chest above the nipples but not on the neck. Several nurses are allowed to remove them in our home health care setting. I need to do a competency and am having difficulty finding actual procedural steps listed for removal of an IJ catheter.
Specifically:
What location is pressure applied to by hand during the removal,
What location is a pressure dressing applied to after removal.
